Network Packet Forensics Analysis Training (NPFAT)
provides sufficient knowledge to students on most common Internet
Protocols (such as HTTP, IM, Email, Telnet, Video Streaming, VoIP
etc), collection, capturing of network packets, analyzing and
reconstruction of the network packets that contains these protocols,
solutions implementation and application as well as some practical
case studies. This training course provides the solutions based on
Decision Computer E-Detective series of products that will assist
the Network Security Manager, Administrator, Security Auditor,
Forensics Investigators (Police, Military Intelligence, National
Security etc.) and Law Enforcement Officers to preserve network
digital evidence and extends the network based crime investigation.
NPFAT course aims to equip Forensics Investigators
and Lawful Enforcement Offices with sufficient knowledge on
conducting investigation on Internet based or Cyber based criminal.
It will provide knowledge on implementing the right solution for
collecting, analyzing, correlating the Internet data and report them
as valid ad legal evidence in the court. Only the right process of
investigation will be accepted in term of law of court. The details
explanation of various Internet protocols is aimed to provide this
investigators with in-dept information and deploy or explain it (the
operation and architecture) if required.
Besides, Network Administrator and Security Auditor
will learn to analyze various Internet protocols and able to
identify the online behaviour of the network users. This allows them
to track down and identify users that have occupied most of the
company Internet bandwidth for necessary actions. Besides, if there
is any dispute or even lost of confidential company information or
data through the Internet, the culprit can be identified with the
evidence being captured and preserved.
Prerequisites
This training course with hands-on practical session
is intended for new users, particularly network administrator,
security auditor, forensic professionals and law enforcement
personnel who uses Network Forensics Tool or other forensics
software to examine, analyze and classify digital evidence. To gain
the maximum benefit from this course, you should meet the following
requirements:

Training Instructors:
1. Mr. Frankie Chan - Frankie has been with
Decision Group for about 3 years as VP for Solutions and
Professional Service. He is the author of the NPFAT course. He has
conducted the first two NPFAT courses in Turkey and Taiwan to some
Lawful Enforcement Agencies. He has been invited to speak in some
digital forensics conferences in China and Taiwan. Majority of his
works involve providing technical and solutions services to partners
and customers over the world.
2. Mr Phillip Russo - Phillip's services are
sought from organizations all over the world, including other world
leading forensic companies such as Digitrail, Acess Data, Guidance
Software and F-Response. He has instructed to the major of law
enforcement agencies of the world including members from Scotland
Yard, Hong Kong Police, ICE Immigration Customs Enforcement, the
Australian Federal Police. He has taught students at the FBI's
Regional Computer Forensics Labs, AHTCC Australia High Tech Crime
Centre and a number of corporate entities including World Banks, the
big four, telecommunication defense contractors including Boeing and
Rayon.
Russo has over 21 years of practical and Police investigational
experience. During his policing career he was a forensic
investigator and training officer for the Western Australian Police
Service's Computer Crime Investigation Squad. He had had papers
published and was called on to deliver presentations at
international computer security forums in both Moscow and New York.
He presented at the Information Security Summit in Hong Kong in
November 2006, and frequently, speaks at the CSI Fraud conferences
held in Malaysia and Singapore.
3. Mr Gustavo Presman - Gustavo is
internationally Certified Specialist in Computer Forensics
techniques which include examination of records, data recovery,

He has twenty years of professional experience in the areas of

Gustavo is a Professor for few universities in Buenos Aires,
teaching in digital forensics related subjects. Perito Judicial de

procedimientos de Informatica Forense. members of the judiciary in

member of many engineering and telecommunications organizations.
4. Mr Samuel Amoah - Samuel is the President
of the Canadian Institute of Learning, the first private career
college in Canada to provide training in computer forensics. He is
the lead Consultant of the CFG Computer Forensics Group in Brampton,
Ontario. He is a certified Computer Forensics Examiner, Certified
Ethical Hacker, Certified Instructor for CEH, a Microsoft Certified
Trainer, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (Windows Vista, Windows
Server 2008), Certified Network Packet Forensics Analysis
Instructor, and a member of the International Society of Forensics
Computer Examiners .
He has under his sleeve over 16 years teaching and coaching
experience as well as 6 years of chemical and environmental
technology experience. Samuel's passion is to train and mentor
students in IT Networking, Security and Investigations.Samuel was a
volunteer on the Problem Development Committee for the International
Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) in 2005. He runs CCE
Boot Camp in Brampton, Ontario.
